We enjoyed another trip to Branson! We went to the Auto & Farm Museum.
Some lovely cars, most were for sale but we controlled ourselves! Haha!
The Yearwood gang joined us Friday afternoon! We went to see the Shepherd of the Hills
Christmas lights and enjoyed some kettle corn and a ride to the top of the tower.
While Mandy & Andrew went to SDC with Pawpaw the kids & I enjoyed games, climbing
the lighthouse, the playgrounds & watching The Christmas Train!
Sunday morning we hiked in the Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area. We hiked the blue route. Lots
of stairs but great views, a grotto & a cave used in the Civil War! Unfortunately we discovered the
historic Lyle Owen homestead had burned! Very sad. The city had almost completed remodel to use
it for Pioneer Days. It is assumed that vandals caused it because it did not have electricity & there
were no storms in the area that early morning.
This is a picture of it in May when we took Caleb & Jaycub on a trail there.
